The Future

this page  features our future plans

on  how we will help the people

of the Sylhet region of Bangladesh

This building needs a new roof. It will cost around £3000 to completely replace the roof. We source the materials locally and employ local builders to complete the work this does 2 things:

1, The school building gets a new roof which will double the amount of classroom space

2, Money is injected into the local economy at all levels

Cataracts, According to the World Health Organization are the leading cause of blindness in the world,

they affect an estimated 20 million people worldwide!

We want to help!

A simple operation can cure cataracts, restoring eyesight immediately.

We want to raise £4000 to pay for a team of eye surgeons to take their mobile operating theatre

to the villages of Sylhet  and  restore sight to 500 people!

Clean water changes lives. Girls return to school. Women begin small businesses. Men are no longer too sick to work. Fields are watered and food supply becomes more reliable. Health returns and children grow up to be productive members of their community.

The cycle of poverty is broken.

Lives change.

"When water comes…everything changes."

FACT : A child dies every 15 seconds from a lack of clean water.

FACT : 1 in 4 children who die before age 5 worldwide, die of a water related disease

FACT : Most people without access to clean water live right above it.

We want to supply tube wells where they are needed in Sylhet

Old Peoples Homes

In Bangladesh Family is very important. We live in extended families so as our parents grow older and no longer able look after us, so we look after them. If old people have no family then problems arise, Bangladesh does not have the facilities to look after old people that we do in Britain . We would like to build some Old peoples homes to house and look after the older members of the community
